Unmotivated
I need a huge kick on the buttocks. Really, I do. I'm just not motivated to start my career. Even after watching Condoleezza Rice and Vera Wang on Oprah last week, I didn't get the "umph" that I badly needed. I'm not sure why. My theory is that I'm still clueless about what I really want to do for a career. Hence, I can't "go for it" if I don't know what "it" is. For the most part, I've been practical with my previous part-time jobs. You know the deal: work to earn money to spend. With whatever I subject myself to, I usually just go with the flow and do my best at it. Who cares if it's not the most fulfilling 12-15 hours/week? However, now that it's career time, my idealistic side is getting the best of me. What makes me happy? What's my passion? What career will not make me feel like it's work? What career will make me want to get up every morning and conquer the world? Sadly, I don't know the answers to those questions. And I'm scared that it will take me forever to find out.
